Good wedding cake is hard to find. So often, it may look good, but it's too dry on the inside, too frosted and flower-bedecked outside. But there are few things better than a well-baked wedding cake. I still remember our wedding cake fondly, baked by Tony-El Boulangerie in Mobile, AL, both on our wedding day and on the night of our one-year anniversary, even though that second serving caused psychedelic dreams. I love a moist white cake with a thin filling -- I'm partial to lemon, but chocolate or raspberry will do just fine -- enrobed in smooth fondant. I had a great slice over the weekend, served at the table, with coffee service to boot. Yummy.
