Pantry Staples: Counter Culture Coffee

There is plenty of good coffee out there. I will always drink Community Coffee, because I like my morning cup with a dose of sentiment. But Community has its limitations. For a great cup of coffee, I like the beans from Counter Culture. Based in Durham, North Carolina, Counter Culture espouses all the right buzz (no pun intended) words: Organic, Shade-Grown, Direct Trade Certified. All that is great, but what is better is that there are delicious, fresh-roasted beans in the bag. Counter Culture has a reputation for being coffee geeks, what with the sponsored "cuppings" and obsession about single-lot origins. I've always been pro-geek, heck I've always been a geek, so their reputation does not bother me at all.
